Informationen on the programme
The 30th DCA Annual Congress will once again begin with a guided tour of the city on Wednesday 30 September 2026. There are two different guided tours to choose from (see brochure). Afterward, the "Women Empowering HDD" group will meet at 5:30 PM at the hotel. All interested women from the HDD industry are cordially invited to attend the meeting.
The dinner on Wednesday will take place at the congress hotel's adjacent golf club, which is within walking distance. The subsequent "Get-together" will also be held there. On Thursday, the congress will open with another interesting guest lecture. This year, Dutch historian and author Sandrina Bokhorst will speak on the topic: "Beneath the Golden Age: Ancient Rome, HDD and the Art of Connection". Following the introductory presentation, the agenda includes talks on "Strategic pipeline projects in Italy," a project presentation regarding a 48-inch pipeline, and a session on "Advancements in Walk-Over Locating Systems."
The focal point of this year’s annual congress is an interactive HDD workshop addressing the topic “We are in trouble – how can we shoot it?” The following subjects will be discussed across four consecutive sessions:
This includes the following topics:
- Soil conditions
- Steering/Locating
- Mud losses and break outs
- Drilling tools breaking down hole
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. We would ask all workshop participants to prepare questions on the above-mentioned topics in the run-up to the event, so that these can then be discussed during the workshop.
As is tradition, Friday’s agenda includes presentations on current HDD projects from Europe, as well as a presentation from Brazil.
The congress will once again be accompanied by an attractive social program. As always, the highlight of this program is the Thursday evening event; the DCA is hosting this at "La Corte di Arenaro," a typical 19th-century Roman country house located a 20-minute drive from the congress hotel.
